MILES HIGH AND DESCENDING is the name of this adventure.
I have spent almost twenty years looking for the right mountain.
Finally, in 1997 I found what I was looking for. The name is Secret
Skiing Mountain! We climb to the summit of a mountain over 21,000
feet in elevation and descend. There are few objective dangers.
The lack of seracs, crevasses and brutal temperatures create the
setting for a "best chance" successful ski descent. Group size is
limited to three plus me. Extra time is spent in acclimatization.
Along the way we will encounter ancient cultures and see soaring
condors. All snow riders are welcome. For the fit and skilled only!
The mountain will determine our success, but success has been high.
Could be joined with the Colca rafting trip for an "ultimate" adventure.
This adventure departs in April and May.
